Campus Encounter 2026 is in the books! On the weekend of February 20-22, nearly 250 people gathered for worship, fellowship, encouragement, and a deep dive into the word “Holy.” Special thanks to Phil Brookman (from the Memorial Road Church of Christ in Edmond, Oklahoma) and Grant Testut (from Oklahoma Christian University) for reminding us that in the same way a tiny drop of gasoline pollutes an entire bottle of water, contact with God’s holiness immediately takes away all of our impurity and unrighteousness.
I (Shane) was excited and blessed to lead worship for the weekend, and to witness a room full of 18–22 year-olds singing their hearts out to the Lord was wonderfully inspiring! We spent some time considering why we worship, reminding ourselves of God’s goodness, protection, and majesty, and Saturday’s extended late-night worship was a holy moment as we praised our Alpha and Omega and gave Him all the glory.
As a graduate of OSU who was active at the UC back in the 90’s, it did my heart good to see the ministry thriving in the post-Monty/Matt era. Fellow alumni, let me assure you our beloved UC is in GREAT hands with Barry, Mia, and the wonderful team of interns. They are exceptional leaders with deep hearts for college students, and they are making an impact. If you’re not already a monthly supporter, please consider joining the team!
